Roland Julius Endert ist seit 2003 Leiter der Handelsblatt-Onlineredaktion. Bereits seit 1999 gehört er der Handelsblatt.com-Redaktion in Düsseldorf an. Seit 1997 hatte er zuvor als Wirtschaftsredakteur beim Finanzen-Verlag in München gearbeitet und bei der Entwicklung der Anlegerzeitung „Euro am Sonntag" mitgewirkt. Er hat an der Hochschule der Bundeswehr in München BWL studiert, wurde zum Presseoffizier ausgebildet und arbeitete als stellvertretender Chefredakteur bei Medien der Truppeninformation. Parallel dazu absolvierte er ein Volontariat und arbeitete als freier Journalist bei der Rheinischen Post.
Für die Handelsblatt-Webseite etablierte er bereits frühzeitig Blogs, Podcasts und Videos. 2007 und 2008 wurden die Handelsblatt-Blogs mehrfach ausgezeichnet, u.a. mit einem Grimme Online Award und einem Lead Award für den Elektrischen Reporter. Roland Julius Endert has been the editor-in-chief of Handelsblatt-Onlineredaktion since 2003. He joined the Handelsblatt.com editorial staff in Düsseldorf in 1999. From 1997, he worked as a business editor at Finanzen-Verlag in Munich and was involved in the development of the "Euro am Sonntag" investor newspaper.
He studied business administration at the University of the German Armed Forces in Munich, trained as a press officer, and worked as deputy editor-in-chief for the "Medien der Truppeninformation" (internal information for the German Armed Forces). Parallel to this, he completed practical training in journalism and worked as a freelance journalist for the "Rheinischen Post".
