Marcus Riecke ist CEO von studiVZ. Er war von 2002 bis 2007 bei eBay in Deutschland und Europa in Führungspositionen tätig, zuletzt als Vice President für die eBay-Geschäfte in Schweden, Polen, Spanien, der Schweiz, Belgien und Österreich. Vor seiner Tätigkeit bei eBay war Riecke von 1999 bis 2000 Vice President International von eGroups, der damals weltweit führenden Community für E-Mail-Diskussionsgruppen, die Ende 2000 von Yahoo! übernommen wurde.
Zwischen 1992 und 1999 war Marcus Riecke in Führungspositionen der der Bertelsmann AG tätig: 1992/93 als Manager TV Marketing der UFA Film und Fernseh GmbH, Vorläufer der heutigen RTL Group, 1996/97 als Consultant im Vorstandsstab der Bertelsmann AG, 1997/98 als Geschäftsführer Deutschland von Lycos und 1998/99 in der Geschäftsleitung von AOL.
Riecke hat seine berufliche Laufbahn bei Studio Hamburg und der Bavaria Film GmbH begonnen. Er ist Absolvent der University of London, England und der University of California in Berkeley, USA.
