Wegner ist Gründer des größten deutschsprachigen Online-Forums für Journalisten, jonet.org, und Autor mehrerer Bücher.
An der Kölner Journalistenschule absolvierte er eine Ausbildung in Wirtschaftsjournalismus, studierte in Bonn Physik und Philosophie und diplomierte an der dortigen Klinik für Epileptologie über die Chaostheorie des menschlichen Gehirns.
Jochen Wegner, 38, is the chief editor at FOCUS Online. Before, he was the Assistant Director of the “Research & Technology” Department at the FOCUS magazine and wrote about the internet, the stock market, universities and everyday Japanese culture.
Wegner is the founder of the largest German online forum for journalists,jonet.org, and author of several books.
At the journalism academy in Cologne he completed his education of economic journalism. He studied Physics and Philosophy in Bonn and researched about the chaos theory of the human brain at the local clinic of epileptology.
